Aesthetics are important to me. I enjoy artistically altering things in my environment so that the are more pleasing to me, and my own physical form is no exception. This area will provide me with a log of how my appearance has and will change with age. I will endeavor to find some pictures of me as a child. I think when I am older, this section will be particularly interesting to me.

I got this back piece done in 2001. I drew up the design in free hand. This was a lesson in pain. I now realize that pain is about endurance. The first three hours weren't so hard to tough out, but then I started to loose a little focus, and the cumulative effect of the pain started getting to me. My desire to have a completed piece in one sitting got me through. After a 6 hour lesson in mind over matter, I was very pleased with the tattoo and the expierience.
I had this guy done in 1994. Considering it's age, I think it has held up well. I was born in the year of the fire dragon, and competeing heavily in asian martial arts tournaments at the time, and thought this would make a nice addition to my body. I am still very pleased with it. although it is based on a piece of flash art, In 6 months of research and sketching, I couldn't find a dragon I liked more than this one. Location = right leg.
